The director of Trellex BV is Jan-Willem van Giessen. With a decade of experience in crop trellises and protection, he founded Trellex-RE BV in 2023, focusing primarily on solar crop covering systems. After building his Trellex company since 2019, he recognized the opportunity to expand into this part of the business.
The first solar cover system was installed in the Netherlands in the spring of 2023 – the very first commercial pear orchard covered with solar panels in the world! We are extremely proud to be part of this achievement.
Trellex-RE BV’s primary focus is on the European market, where we collaborate with Agri-PV developers, growers, and investors. We specialize in steel support structures that integrate crop support systems.
